High Resolution Night Photography
My last post was about a blurry night photograph taken just a few yards from where I live. The image was technically challenged to put it mildly and was posted in the spirit of interesting as opposed to competent. It was shot using my Canon point and shoot hand held shutter speed about 1/6 th second or something equally silly.

I am a firm believer that many photographers are too precious about their craft and will only post their very best and most polished work. I understand the logic behind that approach but not everything should have to be portfolio quality. It is good at times to post the intitial stages, the genesis of an idea. I am also not averse to posting something that is downright average if it makes a point.
Here is the image from the original post:
The photograph at the top of this post is more sophisticated, or at least it was until I cranked up the saturation and did some other unsubtle stuff. It was shot with the grown up camera and said grown up camera was on a tripod hence the lack of blur. Thing is, I prefer the first one, the one just above this paragraph. This is probably because of the more immediate feel caused by the lack of technical quality.
Just for good measure here is another of the higher definition photographs:

No doubt I will revisit this particular scene and topic at least one more time before the weather gets too cold to work outside. I really do think there is a really photograph to be had here and that I haven’t got it yet and my stubborn streak (or borderline OCD) won’t let me give up on this one for a while at least.
