From the iPhone Photography Without an iPhone Amazon page:
Images that have that certain ‘iPhone look’ are everywhere. Images with borders, scratches and other imperfections can be seen on web sites, magazines and even high end TV commercials. Obviously not all of these images have been shot using an iPhone. Many are manipulated using photographs shot with standard cameras such as DSLRs or point and shoots and then altered on a computer.
iPhone Photography Without an iPhone gives an insight into how to achieve the iPhone image look for free. It does this by providing quick start instructions for five free image editing programs that are extremely well suited to the task. The five programs are, Pixlr-o-matic, FotoFlexer, Virtual Photographer, Filter Forge and Picnik.
No previous image editing experience is assumed and the reader should be producing images like those on the cover within five minutes of opening the book. This process is fast and perhaps more importantly, it is great fun.
The book is just over 4,000 words in length and has around 20 images, all created using the software described so it is not a lengthy read but does contain enough information to get the job done.
