About 50 yards from where I work there is a parking lot that is currently being renovated. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and the noise is a bit annoying, especially the constant warning beeps of reversing machinery (bobcats I think). Today they were doing work that sent clouds of dust billowing up into the air and I figured that it might produce an interesting picture or two.
I had my Canon point and shoot handy and literally rolled my office chair 2 feet from it’s normal position and snapped away. The photos are not great quality but they have a sort of immediacy about them that I think I like. The dust is being caused by a machine that is not visible in the photograph. The machine in the foreground is not in use – it just seems to sit there for days on end.
Tomorrow I’ll put the grown up camera on a tripod just in case there is something interesting going on.
