How did you achieve this effect? Is it natural or a double exposure at 45 degrees?
+Kerrigan Marois I shot this with Hipstamatic using a 'lens' that adds this effect at the time of shooting.
As far as I can tell the lens takes an image from the first then applies some translations including rotation, transfer, flipping, scaling. It also selects a transparency level.
I am not sure whether the process is random or whether the software takes the original image into account to decide which changes to make. My hunch is that it isn't quite random.
I usually do a little bit of work in Lightroom after the fact and as you can imagine, the effect is a bit random – wouldn't use it on mission critical work ;)
