Fascinating. I love this!
Beautiful shot, I found myself wiping my screen to get rid of the 'dust specs' that turned out to be water droplets :)
Great detail. Love this.
+Paul van de Loo To be honest I am not sure what the 'dust is exactly' they seem to be blocks of roughly twenty pixels and are present on the original RAW file. There is variety within each 'dot' so it is not burnt out pixels. The scene was flash lit though so I suspect that has a lot to do with it.
+Deborah Lupica +Pearl Lombardo Thanks! :)
+Steve Johnson love it!!!Peace quite calm
+Karen Fischelt Thanks Karen :)
Fantastic shot and great inspiration, now if I only had a macro lens…
+Steve Johnson Whatever it is, it looks great :) They might be small drops of water that appear bigger because of the flash?!
+Clark Baird Thanks! Not macro – Nikon 18-55 kit lens with flash. The flash was off camera though – (held in my other hand) Was about 2 feet away from the water.
+Steve Johnson I'll bet those are dust particles in the air that are being lit by the flash.
+Eustace James That would make perfect sense as the chrome is way too out of focus for anything on the surface to render sharp. The puzzling part for me was the squareness of the specs – think this is the first time I've ever looked at anything I've shot at 8x 100% !
