We have an old battered wicker rocking chair and my wife made a cushion thing for it with lots of tassels and beads hanging from the front. The cushion overhangs the front of the chair by a few inches. This photo is of one of the strings of beads and the out of focus background id the front of the chair.
This was shot using the macro and low light setting of a Canon Powershot A3100 IS. The contrast and some noise reduction was done in Adobe Lightroom 3.
The Daily Image – An Explanation
A few days ago I decided to post an image every day with just a few words of explanation. The idea was borrowed, OK stolen, from the 365project – take a photo a day site. I thought that it would be good to have a record of daily favorite images that I had selected spanning a period of a year.
These photographs will be of absolutely anything that appeals to me on the day that I am posting so expect a lot of variety and very little consistency regarding either style or content and to be honest, the technical quality may well be vartiable. These will be images that appeal on anything but an intellectual level.
This is the fourth post in the series the others are here: Daily Image . If you subscribe to this site and wonder why you haven’t seen the previous images up until now it is because I didn’t put them on the feed. I was worried about pissing people off by updating the feed too often. I have read some more opinions and sounded out some of the followers of this blog and the consensus seems to be that I should add these posts to the main feed. So I am now doing that. If this does annoy you or if you like the idea let me know in the comments – I am more than happy to go with the consensus on this. Also if you have any thoughts or opinions about the photos that I post – good or bad just let me know.
If you want to receive a feed with just these daily image posts on them sign up for the feed at the top of this post – there is also an email option available once you get into it. This is not the main site feed which now circulates everything published on this blog – that one is over to the right in the sidebar.
