Photography – Making the Ordinary Interesting.
The doorknob on a bathroom cabinet. There were a couple of reasons as to why I wanted to take this shot. I liked the form and the diffuse ambient lighting.
I thought that it would be made more interesting if the scale was ambiguous. The peeling paint and other signs of wear and tear add another layer of interest.
The knob is small, less than an inch from base to top.
Part of being a photographer is seeing something intriguing where other people may not. This allows for the making of interesting images from very ordinary things. – Making the Ordinary Interesting.
The Image was shot with a Canon Powershot A3100 IS and edited in Adobe Lightroom 3. I increased the contrast slightly.
