Technorati Claim Issue – Solved
Technorati claim issue – which should be resolved soon I hope.

If you are getting these in your RRS reader I really am sorry. It is the only way to register a blog with Technorati and the process is downright medieval.
My last post/essay is reasonably substantial and may just make the click worthwhile if you haven’t seen it yet:
The Democratization of Photography
Here are a few shots that I took yesterday. It was more about having an excuse to get out of the house on a rare dry spring afternoon than the photography to be honest. These were taken with a d40x with my old Nikon n55 kit lens. The bottom two had a 10x macro attachment added. The second one was edited in Lightroom where I was playing around with gradients. The bottom one is an out of foocus green marble on a paver.
The n55 kit zoom creates a bokeh that is a little harder to control than the later digital kit lenses which produce more of a smear than distinct circles but this can be worked with to get some interesting results. The addition of the 10x magnifier actually makes for a really useful bokeh. The second to last shot is straight out of the camera, i.e. no editing and shows this off well – see the four circles top right.
Update on the Technorati Claim Issue: All done – this site is now on listed and everything appears to be in order – less than 72 hours after the initial request which is pretty impressive. Well done Technorati.
